This Sunday we conclude our Epiphany sermon series “Jesus Walks in the Spirit”. As Jesus, true God and true man, ministers and proclaims his kingdom, the Holy Spirit is with him through it all. In Exodus 34, Moses’s face shines after meeting God, showing the power of God’s presence. In 2 Peter 1, we read Peter’s direct account of being with Jesus on the mountain during the transfiguration. In Luke 9, Jesus is transfigured on the mountain, shining with glory as God the Father tells all to listen to him. Jesus is revealed in the Spirit.
