Reading: 2 Cor 1:3-7
Focus: 2 Cor 1:3-4
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
Consider these prompts to guide your prayers this week:
- Bring to God, our Father, any affliction you may be experiencing and afflictions of friends and family, knowing that God will hear your prayer and provide comfort.
- We are comforted so that we may comfort others. Ask God to give you an opportunity to bring comfort to someone who needs to know God’s mercy and are.
- Praise God for who He is – the Father of Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, the God of all comfort.
